1/8th Final Cup of Luxembourg! Basket Esch Sneaks past Contern, Sparta knocks out T71!!! - Nov 10, 2017

Four cup games were played last night in Luxembourg. Amicale Steinsel had an easy 107-73 victory over Black Star (N2). In a N2 matchup, Amanita Larocjhette easily won at home vs Zolwer. The N3 squad from Black Frogs Schieren (+10) were destroyed by Residence 103-85. But, the big story was Sparta knocking out T71 out of the Cup which rarely happened in the last decade. Brad Reese scored 28 points, made 8 three pointers, grabbed 16 rebounds and blocked 4 shots to lead the way for Sparta. T.J. Robinson had 30 points 7 assists and 15 rebounds to lead his team to an overwhelming 102:83-victory.

Basket Esch, Etzella, Musel Pikes and Telstar, won their games on Tuesday or Wednesday.

BC Mess 81- Testar 82 The closest and most important match was between BC Mess and Telstar. It went right down the wire with Telstar coming out on top 82-81. Telstar won despite playing with only one of their 2 import players. Apparently, Pierce Cumpstone had some paperwork problems and could not play. The Luxembourg players stepped it up for Telstar. The first part of the season is over and going into the Christmas break, Arantia Larochette remained unbeaten and are looking more and more like the team to beat in the playoffs for the fight for going up to the Total League. Kordallsteelers are not far behind winning 7 in a row before the break. Nationale 2 - 13th Round leaves Artantia Larochette undefeated still!!!- Dec.13, 2017  (by Paul)

Last weekend was the 13th game-day in Luxembourg's Nationale 2. Arantia Larochette (13-0) is the only team to remain unbeaten. Avanti Mondorf hung in there during the first half, only down 8 at intermission. Arantia Larochette, who is destined to go undefeated in N2, scored 69 second half points on the way to a 117-77 romp at home to improve their record to 13-0.
