Faith Randolph (178-G, college: Virginia) scored 27 points, Anita Teilane (195-C-85, agency: LBM Management) had 20 and the Antranik Beirut withstood a furious rally to beat the Sporting Club Chabibeh 68-61 on Saturday night for their first victory of the season. Teilane dominated the game on both ends pulling down 14 rebounds and blocking 6 shots. The score went back and forth throughout the first half of play with Sporting Club Chabibeh getting the best of Antranik Beirut. Antranik led by 8 points in the third quarter and were still up by double figures heading into the final period, but the Sporting Club Chabibeh made a charge despite a poor shooting night from import reinforcement Shareta Brown (185-C-93, college: Wayne St., MI). Star guard Kristina King (180-PG-92, college: Richmond) had 24 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists in a losing effort for Sporting Club Chabibeh. Jennifer Ammoury Maalouf (178-F/G-89) added 16 points.

Antranik Beirut are now 1-0 in the Champions League of Lebanon. Next week the will host Al Riyadi.

Hoops Sporting Club (WLBL) release 24-year guard Tiasha Gray. In 2 WLBL games she recorded just 9.3ppg this season. She also played for Bnot Hertzeliya (Israel). In 4 games she averaged 16.3ppg, 6.5rpg, 5.3apg. In 2017 she played for Mark Basket Marbo Kinna (Sweden). Chabibeh Sporting Club (WLBL) waived 26-year center Chelsea Poppens (188-F-91, college: Iowa St.). In 3 WLBL games she recorded just 12.3ppg while shooting a low 32.5% this season. Poppens also spent pre-season at Gigantes de Carolina earlier that year. She averaged just 9.5 points per game while shooting 45.5%. In 2013 she drafted by Seattle Storm (WNBA, 2rd (18)). Antranik Beirut continue their hot streak as they passed Hoops Club 68-50. Anita Teilane (195-C-85, agency: LBM Management) was incredible Tuesday night versus Hoops.
