Antranik Beirut lands Anita Teilane - Oct 25, 2017

Antranik Beirut (WLBL) tabbed 32-year old Latvian ex-international center Anita Teilane (195-85, agency: LBM Management). She played most recently at Gruener Stern Keltern in German DBBL. Teilane managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 28 DBBL games she averaged 6.8ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.1apg and 2.4bpg. She helped them to make it to both league and Cup finals after they ended regular season as second best team. She can count that season as a very successful as was awarded Eurobasket.com All-German DBBL Defensive Player of the Year, selected to Honorable Mention and selected to All-Bosmans Team. Teilane also played 10 games in Eurocup where she had 3.2ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.0apg and 1.8bpg. The other team Teilane played shortly was Castors Braine in Belgian Top Division Women. In two games she recorded 3.0ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.5apg.

Teilane's team won Kazakhstan League Regular Season in 2016.

She was a member of Latvian international program for some years. Teilane was called to Latvian Senior National Team between 2004 and 2007 and previously for U20 National Team between 2004 and 2005.

She is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Teilane experienced life in eight different countries playing on three different continents. She is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. Teilane has played previously professionally in Bulgaria (Haskovo 2012), Hungary (Sopron Basket and Vasas Akademia), Romania (Satu Mare), Spain, Switzerland, Latvia (RSU-Merks) and Kazakhstan (Astana Tigers).

Homentmen Antelias (WLBL) tabbed 25-year old American center Vicky McIntyre (201-92, college: ORU). She already started the season at IDK Gipuzkoa Universidad del Pais Vasco in Spanish LFB league. America center Shanece McKinney(193-F-92, college: LSU, agency: ProDep Management) had a record breaking game in the last round for Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut and that's her to receive a Asiabasket.com Player of the Week award for round 3.
