Complacency - Mar 11, 2016

Any player can get complacent at times when playing overseas professionally. Sometimes we get caught up in just "going through the motions". But some times just going through them isn't enough or effective to play your game. It takes that extra will power or discipline to be a little more than normal. To be good you gotta wanna be good, to be great you gotta wanna be great. I have been a victim of complaceny this season but I'm working on that so I can finish these last two games strong. The last game we lost by one point because we couldn't close out like we should plus my teammates haven't been in those close game situations very often. One thing I can say is we played the hardest that game then probably any game this season. Well I take that back we played them as hard as we played our rivals and that was my very first game of the season. When you lose like that you tend to look at certain things more than others. And not making excuses you tend to want to fix them in practice. So from this point forward I vow I'm not going to be complacent. Even though I know I'm heading stateside really soon I gotta stay focus on the big picture. For everyone who's been supportive of ya boy I give you a shout out I appreciate all of it. And hopefully we close out and win this game against Essen at our home gym this weekend. Thanks for continuing the journey and look out for the visuals on my youtube channel jcuylar.
