Society "Georgian Basketball" is actively working since November 19th, 2012 to develop the democratic values in basketball of Georgia. So far organization argued and provided significant proves that current Georgian Basketball Federation officials are illegitimately elected and since 2001 in the highest authority of basketball in Georgia is some sort of a dictatorship.

Society "Georgian Basketball" is stating that according to paragraph 1 of article 6 of the Statutes of the Georgian Basketball Federation, the members of Federation might be the separate natural persons, (independent individuals!!!) as well as the clubs, organizations having the status of the legal entities in Georgia, as well as outside of its boundaries (foreign clubs or organizations could be the members of the GBF).

Paragraph 2 of Article 6 also states, that "Member of the Federation might be every person, which shares, admits and fulfills the Federation Constitution, its objectives and tasks";

Paragraph 9 of article 6 authorizes the Executive Board to make a decision with regard to accepting as a member - Affiliation as a member is conducted by the Executive Board. Furthermore, the Constitution does not specify on what basis and on what grounds an individual person can become a member of the Federation.

Mr. Besik Liparteliani have been the only presidential candidate in 2005 and 2009 because of dictatorial atmosphere supported by several influential politicians from the ex-government.

Georgian Basketball Federation in their press release dated 21 November 2012 states that elections were conducted democratically but organization still cannot clarify why the number of voting delegates were alternating from 2005 to 2012 (54 delegates in 2005, 66 delegates in 2009 and 32 delegates in 2012) by the Executive Board but instead it provides the list of the delegates in the last November 11th, 2009 elections where each delegate had a single vote:
