Darryl
Reshaw
Darryl Reshaw has been commissioner the UBA full time this season. Here are his thoughts on the 2010-2011 Award Watch.

Most Valuable Player Watch

1. Michael Sloan (6'5''-G/F-84, college: Clayton St.)
Southern Generals
Stats: PPG: 25.3, RPG: 5.1, APG: 3.3, 2FG: 50.0%, 3FG: 44.3%
Sloan is shooting a career high and buying into his role as the lead man. He is currently 2nd in the UBA in scoring (25.3ppg) and has led the team to the best record in the league. After an impressive victory over the defending champs, Sloan dropped 27 points to take over the votes for the MVP race. (Last week: 2 | Team record: 6-1)

2. Jermaine Barnes (6'5''-G/F-82, agency: SportsList Inc., college: Atlanta Christian)
GIE Morrow Disciples
Stats: PPG: 26.6, RPG: 6.4, APG: 5.1, 2FG: 51.3%, 3FG: 50.0%
Barnes is the reigning MVP of the UBA and rightfully so. He currently leads the UBA in scoring (26.6ppg) and has one of the top team in the league. In Barnes last game he scored 32 points in a loss vs. the Southern Generals. If Barnes plans on repeating a championship and MVP he has to overcome the Generals and now Mike Sloan. (Last week: 1 | Team record: 6-4)

3. Tedric Hill (6'10''-F/C-84, college: Gulf Coast CC)
DFW Warriors
Stats: PPG: 23.7, RPG: 9.7, BPG: 1.32, FG: 53.3%, 3FG: 30.0%
Tedric Hill is one of the best bigs in the UBA. A former NBA draft prospect, Hill has instantly become a force and will be looked upon to carry the Warriors to the Championship. (Last week: 4 | Team record: 2-1)

4. T.J. Taylor (6'1''-G-86, college: Erskine)
Tennessee Dragons
Stats: PPG: 16.2, APG: 6.8, SPG: 3.8, 2FG: 48.0%, 3FG: 44.0%
Head Coach Steve Dolan has done a fantastic job at finding talent and head the pack is T.J. Taylor. Last weekend Taylor averaged 22.5ppg in games against the Hawks and Disciples. Taylor is currently leading the league in steals and has the Dragons fighting for the top spot in the Division. (Last week: 0 | Team record: 3-2)

5. Daniel 'Skip' Thomas (6'7''-F-85, college: Langston)
Central Texas Cyclones
Stats: PPG: 19.5, RPG: 7.0, BPG: 1.0, 2FG: 50.1%, 3FG: 40.0%
Mr. Skip Thomas has carried his ball club to the top spot in the Western Conference. This weekend the Cyclones defeated the DFW Warriors and Skip led the way with 20 points and 8 rebounds. In order for the Cyclones to contend they will need Skip to continue his fine play. (Last week: | Team record: 2-0)

6. Jermaine Dailey (6'8''-F-86, agency: SportsList Inc., college: Ill.-Chicago)
GIE Morrow Disciples
Stats: PPG: 16.4, RPG: 12.5, BPG: 2.3, 2FG: 61.3%, 3FG: 30.0%
Dailey is by far the best athlete in the UBA. A human High Light Film waiting to happen. Hes currently leading the league in rebounds and double doubles. If the Disciples want to repeat they need to get Dailey more involved in the offense. (Last week: | Team record: 6-4)

Defensive Player of the Year Watch

1. Jermaine Dailey, Disciples: The Disciples are going for their third straight UBA Finals championship, and it occurred to me that the Disciples wont be there unless they commit to the defense like Jermaine Dailey. Dailey is currently leading the league in defensive rebounds with 8.5 (12.5rpg), 6th in blocks (2.6) and 7th in steals (2.1).

2. Demario Williams (7'1''-C-85, college: Miles), Norman Express: Williams' true defensive impact will be tested now that he has been traded to the Norman Express. The Express were an average team at best but with the addition of Williams there now a contender for the west. He is currently leading the UBA in blocks with 6.1, but Williams' production has dropped since his back to back 10 block games.

3. Chris Moore (6'8''-F-88, college: Morgan St.), Southern Generals: Moore is currently 2nd in the UBA in block with 5.5 and 4th in rebounds with 9.3. Moore has been out the last 2 game due to a broken finger but will return after the holidays.

Rookie of the Year Watch

1. Chris Miller-Williams (6'5''-F-87, college: W.Georgia), Georgia Lions: Miller-Williams is killing the UBA softly. With his low key style Chris is averaging an impressive 20.4ppg, and 9.4rpg. Since joining the Lions there 4-1 and currently making noise in the UBA.

2. Chris Cromartie (6'3''-G-88, college: Gordon), Atlanta Assault: Cromartie is instant offense for the Assault. Hes currently averaging 22.3ppg with an impressive 35 point performance vs. the Tennessee Dragons. If he can bring more wins for the Assault he will take this award.

3. Nick Clark (6'5''-G/F-84, college: Albany St.), Stone Mountain VOF Hawks: Despite a disappointing 0-4 start, Clark is the only bright spot for the Hawks (besides Hall). He's currently averaging a team best 20.1ppg and 5.0rpg. Clark came into the UBA with a lot on his back and with the addition of William Belton (6'1''-G-84, college: Wofford) (from the Disciples); look for Clark and the Hawks to make a run.
