The Universal Basketball Association released its Power Rankings for week 6 and the Southern Generals take hold of the top spot. The Generals are 5-1 with impressive wins over the GIE Morrow Disciples and Georgia Lions. Alot of their success has come from the stand out play of Michael Sloan (6'5''-G/F-84, college: Clayton St.) and Will De La Cruz (6'2''-G-80, college: Atlanta Christian). Sloan is currently 2nd in the UBA in scoring (25.0ppg), while De La Cruz is tied for the leader in assist (8.2)

The DFW Warriors have moved into the second spot with dominate play from the twin towers (Tedric Hill (6'10''-F/C-84, college: Gulf Coast CC) and Alfred Anderson (6'10''-C-84, college: Oklahoma City)). 'The Warriors have the best front court in the UBA right now', stated UBA Commissioner Darryl Reshaw . 'I can't wait to see them and the Disciples match up in March.

GIE Morrow Disciples are now in the third spot with a record of 5-3. The Disciples have been hit by the injury bug all month with a 1-2 record in December so far. With Derrick Stroud (6'8''-F/C-75, college: Indiana St.) out with a broken foot, Demetrice Williams (6'3''-G-80, college: S.Alabama) (Hamstring), Jarvis Releford (6'7''-F-84, college: Ft.Valley St.) (Personal Reasons) and Jermaine Barnes (6'5''-G/F-82, agency: Low Country Sports, college: Atlanta Christian) and Trevon Bryant (6'10''-F-84, college: Cal.St.-Dominguez H.) (flu). 'We are fine', said Disciples head coach Michael Davis . We get everyone back this weekend. Look forward to a winning streak. Jermaine Barnes is currently leading the league in scoring (25.8ppg), Dailey in rebounding (12.4rpg) and Demario Williams with 7.0bpg. 'The Disciples are a great ball club', stated Darryl Reshaw . Good teams know how to pace themselves; I think there still the favored to win it all.
