Antonio Webb

The Tennessee Dragons add big time scorer Antonio Webb (5'10''-G-84, agency: Team Quest Inc., college: Bethune-Cookman) to the talented roster. With the addition of Webb comes a much needed scoring ability with their loss of Richard Jeter (FYR Macedonian-Europe). He will be added to the Dragons roster immediately for their weekend double header verses the Stone Mountain VOF Hawks and the GIE Morrow Disciples.

Antonio Webb was selected the UBA Finals MVP this summer after a breakout game verses the Southern Generals. Webb scored a game high 31 points on (5-7) shooting from three point range.

'When we found out that Antonio was available we jumped on the opportunity to sign him,' said owner Steve Dolan . He is a big time scorer.

Shortly after the UBA Classic, Webb signed with a club in Russia. His stay in Russia was cut short due to the clubs financial difficulties. 'It was a hard situation for me, said Webb. I love international basketball, so I feel rejoining the UBA gives me the best chance of getting a job.

Webb has spent the last 4 season in Europe (Denmark, Romania and France) with his best season coming in 2008. In 28 games for Horsens IC, Webb averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 assists and 2.3 steals primarily as the teams scoring guard, scoring 20 or more points on 19 occasions, including during the deciding Playoff game of the Danish League Quarter Finals. During that game, Webb connected on five three-pointers in a three-minute span in the fourth quarter to solidify Horsens IC first Danish League Finals appearance.

Prior to his professional success, Webb spent two season at Bethune-Cookman where he led the team in scoring and assists, averaging 17.0 points and dishing out 3.5 assists in 30 games. He also led the team in steals (1.8 steals per game) and three-point field goals made (89) while scoring 20 or more points 17 times during the season. For his efforts, Webb earned 1st Team MEAC accolades from the Associated Press and the leagues coaches. During his freshman and sophomore years, Webb played at Wallace, a junior college in Alabama, where he averaged 17.8 points and 5.8 assists in 60 games.

With the addition of Antonio Webb and Thomas Shewmake (6'9''-C-84, college: Cal.St. Northridge) the Dragons are now a favorite to win the UBA Championship
